Mosaic Image Finder for ArcGIS 10

The Mosaic Image Finder is a new add-in for ArcMap (ArcGIS 10) to explore imagery within a mosaic. The add-in supports mosaics stored locally in a geodatabase (or SDE connection) or published to ArcGIS Server as an image service.



To install:
1) Download this contribution to your computer,
2) Unzip the file,
3) Double click on the .esriAddIn file.

To uninstall:
1) In ArcMap, select Customize > AddIn Manager,
2) Select "Mosaic Image Finder",
3) Click "Delete this AddIn".

How to start:
1) Start ArcMap,
2) Display the Mosaic Image Finder toolbar
(Customize > Toolbars > Mosaic Image Finder).
3) Click the (only) button on the toolbar.
(this will display the Mosaic Image Finder window)
4) Add a mosaic dataset (or mosaic image service) to your map document
5) Zoom to an area of interest
6) Drop a mosaic layer from the ArcMap TOC and drop it into the Mosaic Image Finder window.
7) When images have finished loading, sort by different fields or toggle the ascending/descending buttons.
8) To add a single image to ArcMap, click on an image in the 3D display so that it is highlighted in red. Click the add button to add a cloned mosaic layer with only the selected image shown.
